Purity People’s Guide to Festival Staffing

May 2026

Festivals are high-energy, fun-filled summer events like no other. Whether it’s the crowd at a music gig, the aromatic buzz of a food festival or a family-friendly activity and adventure weekend, the opportunities for creating exciting brand experiences are on another level.

At Purity, we believe that while a big stage or a bright banner grabs attention, it’s the people on the ground who turn fleeting moments into lasting impressions and measurable performance. As we redefine our proposition as a brand activation agency, we’re sharpening our focus on activations that are built for experience and designed to perform.

In a world of digital noise, audiences crave real, honest connections.

We sat down with our Head of Purity People, Florence Reavie-Corker to get her take on building, training and deploying festival teams that deliver both magic moments and results.

Building the ultimate festival team

A brilliant activation strategy is only as good as the team bringing it to life.

Florence explains “At Purity People, we look beyond the CV to find individuals with the emotional intelligence to connect naturally with people:

  • Recruitment: Finding the Brand Match

Your team is a living extension of your brand. We hand-pick staff who have an authentic belief in the product and the stamina to remain energised throughout long festival shifts.

  • Training That Empowers

Our training is immersive and hands-on. We ensure staff are not just informed but are trained to become insightful experts who can navigate everything from complex product benefits to large, spirited crowds.

  • Leadership and Culture

Strong leadership ensures a team performs at its peak. “My own experience working as an event manager shapes our approach”, says Florence. “We don’t just fill shifts, we build a community of motivated people who feel valued and supported.”

The Purity Playbook: 3 Phases of Success

We bridge the gap between a brand’s intent and its real-world impact through a rigorous three-phase framework:

  • Phase 1: Strategy. Defining KPIs and selecting the right talent to match the festival vibe.
  • Phase 2: Execution. Staff bring the brand promise to life using the Six Hallmarks of a World-Class Brand Ambassador: Engaging, Energising, Professional, Enlightening, Connecting and Amazing.
  • Phase 3: Results. Turning on-site interactions into long-term digital touchpoints and measurable ROI.

Real connections, real results

We’ve proved this strategy-first approach works with some of the world’s leading brands:

  • Malibu: At major music festivals, we’ve helped Malibu own the moment through high-energy activations like the Malibu Confession Booth, blending creative ambition with the operational rigour needed to drive trial.
  • Heineken 0.0: We executed a high-traffic strategy at Grand Central Terminal, prioritising precision and scale to deliver a successful start to their wider brand activation. We followed this with a Dry January campaign at the start of the year, which drove trials of Heineken 0.0 by offering a disruptive sampling experience right in the heart of two major metro areas, Los Angeles and Miami.
  • Lee Kum Kee: At Barcode Festival 2025, Purity and Lee Kum Kee made a big impact with a vibrant and modern Hong Kong noodle bar, complete with 3D photo wall and branded lightbox feature. Serving up flavoursome speciality noodle dishes, the Lee Kum Kee activation was a huge hit, especially the fun and funky noodle hats that everyone was wearing around the festival – they even made it onto the big screen during the Chase & Status set!
